Road widening works between Udhampur-Chenani to complete by April end

The assurance came at a meeting convened by Udhampur DDC Piyush Singla to review progress of 4-lanning work of the national highway

Udhampur 9: Four lanning of the stretch Jammu-Srinagar national highway between Udhampur and Chenani is likely to complete in next two months.

Disclosing this, Project Director of the National Highway Authority of India, Parshotam Kumar, at a meeting chaired by  Udhampur District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla, said that “over 85 per cent of the widening work has been completed and the remaining work is likely to be completed by the end of April 2021’’. “There are 35 minor bridges on Udhampur – Chenani stretch, of which 27 have been completed, he said, adding work is going on remaining eight bridges.

The Project Director assured that the work will be completed within given time frame. The meetin was convened by Udhampur District Development Commissioner to review progress of the road widening work on Udhampur-Chenani stretch of the national highway.
