J&K reports 259 Covid-19 cases; lowest in 94 Days

Srinagar:  Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 259 fresh cases of Covid-19, lowest in 24 hours during 94 days. However, six more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said.

While 90 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division, Kashmir had 169 cases. With this, the number of Covid positive cases in the union territory ever since the beginning of the pandemic last year has risen to 314990. However, of them only 4996 were active positive as the other 305684 people had recovered.

About Corona related deaths, officials said all took place in Kashmir Valley. With this the total number of Corona related deaths in J&K since last year rose to 4310.
