Srinagar: Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley are celebrating the festival of Janamashtami , which is the birthday of Lord Krishna, like the rest of the country.
Scores of Kashmiri Pandits visited Pathshala temple near zaindar mohalla Habba kadal in Srinagar and participated in ‘Puja Archana, Bhajan Keertan and Prasad Vitaran’.
The Pandits thanked their Muslim brethren for their cooperation in conducting a smooth ‘jhanki yatra’.
Many Muslims also witnessed the ‘jhanki’, which started from Habba kadal and went through the localities of lal chowk.
