On BSF Raising Day, Sub Inspector martyred in Pakistani firing

Jammu, December 1: On the occasion of Border Security Force Raising Day on Tuesday, a BSF Sub Inspector has attained martyrdom in ceasefire violation by Pakistanย  while guarding the forward defence location along with soldiers in Rajouri sector.

The martyr Paotinsat Guite was resident of a Maphoukuki village in Senapati district in Manipur state.

Pakistan Army restored to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Rajouri Sector on the LoC in which BSF Sub Inspector Paotinsat Guite while deployed at FDL of BSF in Rajouri attained martyrdom while displaying conspicuous acts of bravery in not only retaliating to the enemy fire but also saved many of his colleague’s lives, said PRO BSF.

โ€œMartyr SI, P. Guite had displayed highest degree of dedication and devotion to duty and laid down his life in the line of dutyโ€ he added.

โ€œP. Guite was a gallant and sincere border man. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. In this hour of grief B’S stands  in solidarity with the braved family โ€ said N.S Jamwal, IGP, BSF, Jammu.

The Border Security Force has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts. The martyrdom of the Border man will not go in vain.

The mortal remains of the martyr will be sent to Imphal by air & then by road to his native place for his last rites with full state honor, said PRO, BSF.

Sources said the martyr had become the victim of a sniper shot fired by the Pakistan army.

During last seven days Subedar Swatantra Singh (in Poonch), Naik Prem Bahadur Khatri & Rifleman Sukhbir Singh (both in Rajouri district ) have sacrificed their lives for the Nation while guarding the LoC.
