Jodhpur man kills wife, plays video by her body after informing police

Rajasthan, December 8: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife at their home in Jodhpur’s BJS Colony and later played video games next to her body after informing the police and the woman’s parents about the murder. 

Identified as Vikram Singh, 35, the accused allegedly killed his wife Shiv Kanwar, 30, on Sunday night. After the murder, he called up his in-laws informing them that he had killed their daughter, besides informing the police of the same. When the police arrived, Singh was found playing mobile games next to his wife’s body. 

According to police, the couple had an altercation Sunday night and in a fit of rage, Vikram Singh picked up a pair of scissors  and repeatedly stabbed his wife Shiv Kanwar.  

Police said the couple often fought as Singh was unemployed. The accused was not doing anything, while his wife used to do stitching work at home, it added.

The couple has two children, he said, adding that they were not present in the house at the time of the incident.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead, police said.
