Four Rajasthan tribals held for looting a family in Bishnah

Jammu, December 14: A tribal gang which strucked last year in Bishnah , attacked family members and fled away with their gold ornaments, has been apprehended by a police party from Bishnah Police station in Jammu.

A case was registered at Bishnah Police Station following a complaint by Sunita Devi of Palli Chak Jaralan that she heard some noise during wee hours of September 5, 2019 and when she woke up, she saw some unknown persons forcibly entering into her house. Armed with sticks, the intruders beat family members mercilessly with the intention to kill them and looted gold ornaments and cash.

After commission of offence all dacoits fled away from the spot. 

During the course of investigation many suspects were rounded up  but there had been no clue about the accused.

A special team under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura , Shabir Khan led by SHO Bishanh Tahir Yousaf continued with the investigation technically. After minutely accessing the modus operandi of the gang, the investigation team zeroed in on Shahrukh Khan , Mohabat and Sawan, all residents of Pilani in Rajasthan’s Jhunjnunu district, besides Rehmaan of  Chadwa in Jhunjnunu district of Rajasthan. Members of tribal community from Rajasthan, all of them were arrested by police from Punjab.

During the course of interrogation, accused persons disclosed the name of gang leader ,Aslam alias Nosoo of Rajasthan who when put to sustained interrogation confessed his involvement in the crime. Police on his disclosure recovered gold worth Rs 4 lakh.

The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Hqr Jammu Aadil Hamid and under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil. Bishnah Police is also looking for some more thefts conducted by this gang.
