Four terror associates arrested with arms, ammunition in Kashmir

Srinagar, December 34: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested four terror associates during wee hours of Thursday in Awantipora.

Giving details, sources said that police and CRPF had launched joint searches following information that some armed Al-Badr militants were hiding in Dadsara and Larmah villages on  Wednesday night.

During searches, four people were found under suspicious circumstances who during questioning admitted having concealed arms and ammunition under the heap of grass. During search, it seized an AK56 rifle along with a magazine and 28 rounds, besides one hand grenade.

All the four people were arrested. They include Yawar Aziz Dar abs Sajad Ahmad, both residents of Larmah, Abid Majeed and Showkat Ahmad, both Dadsara.

More arrests and recoveries are expected in the matter as investigations are in progress, sources said.
