Pak resorts to shelling along LoC in Nowshera

Nowshera: Pakistani troops on Saturday resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and small arms fire on forward Indian positions along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowahera sector of Rajouri district.This came a day after Indian Army as a humanitarian gesture had repatriated a 14-year-old boy from Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir who had crossed over to the Indian side by mistake. Identified as Master Ali Haider, the boy was handed over to Pakistani authorities at Chakkan Da Bagh in Poonch on Friday.Giving details, sources said that ceasefire violation from Pakistan side started around 1 pm and it soon spread over to Kalsiyan, Baba Khori, Jhanger and others areas in Nowshera sector. The mortar shelling and small arms fire was intense, they said, adding the Indian army was retaliating befittingly.
