Jammu: Jubilations broke out at the house of Rakeshwar Singh, a CRPF constable, following reports that he has been released by Maoists after keeping him in captivity for five days.

As news came from Chhatisgarh that locals have been successful in securing the release of Rakeshwar Singh from Maoists, family members, relatives and neighbours started greeting each other. His wife Meenu Manhas expressed gratitude to all those who stood by her in the hours of crisis and helped in release of her husband from captivity.

Rakeshwar’s four-year-old daughter Raghvi had the only wish that her father comes home soon.
