Two held with counterfeit currency, heroin in Sunjwan

Jammu: A party of Jammu Kashmir Police les by Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO Bahu Fort  Police Station, apprehended two suspects T Peerbagh, Sunjawan, and seized 8.5 grams of heroin and 158 fake currency notes of the value of Rs 47,800 from them.

Identified as Mohammad Aslam alias Sonu of Dangiali in SIDHRA’s Majeet area a d Rashid Ali alias Zakir of Sunjawan’s Peer Bagh Colony, both were travelling in a Maruti 800 No. JK21A 7206 at the time of their interception by 

A case under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 of NDPS Act, 489-A, 489-B, 489-C of IPC was registered against them at Bahu Fort police station.

The accused confessed their crime and on their disclosure, police seized a laptop, one printer, four bottles of magnetic ink, one bundle of printing papers and one digital weighing machine.

It is pertinent to mention that both the accused are notorious criminals as Mohd Aslam @ Sonu has half a dozen FIRs under NDPS Act, attempt to murder, Bovine smuggling and theft registered against him. Earlier, he was also booked under PSA. Also, Rashid Ali @ Zakir was arrested earlier in fake currency notes case and a case FIR no. 151/2018 U/S 489-A,D RPC was registered at P/S Bahu fort against him earlier.
