Two Chhattisgarh residents held with three kgs Ganja in Jammu

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested two people and claimed to have recovered three kilogram Ganja from them in UT’s Satwari area here,Identifying the arrested people as Ishwar Banerjee and Rajinder Sahu, both residents of Chhattisgarh’s Balodabajar area, police said that they had laid several nakas for them in different locations following specific information. One such naka which was led by SHO Satwari, Inspector Nishant Gupta, at Raipur Satwari. A case under sections 8/20/29 of NDPS Act was registered against them at Satwari police station.Pointing out that Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace, it requested local people to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100, adding identity of the informants will be kept confidential.
