Jammu: Anti Narcotic Task Force of J&K on Wednesday driver and conductor of an apple laden truck at Narwal here and seized 32 kgs of Hashish like substance.Identifying the arrested people as truck driver Arif Nazir Sheikh of Lar and conductor Zahid Manzoor of Thuru, both Ganderbal, officials said that ANTF had laid nakas at various places following specific information about the transportation of narcotics consignment from Kashmir.Near environmental park, Narwal Sidhra bypass, the said truck was intercepted. During thorough checking of the truck, two apple boxes were found which were concealed under the tarpal of the truck from which four packets of Hashish like substance weighing 32 kgs were recovered. The driver and conducter were arrested and they further disclosed that the consignment was to be delivered at Mumbai. Truck has been seized and a Case FIR No 03/21 U/S 8/20/29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu.Anti Narcotic Task Force is investigating the forward and backward linkages of this Interstate Narco dealers. More arrests are expected.
