Samba: Less than three months after both India and Pakistan armies agreed to maintain peace and tranquility along the borders between them in Jammu and Kashmir, a drone from neighbouring country on Friday dropped a consignment of arms and ammunition in Samba sector on this side of the international border.

According to BSF, alert troops recovered a polythene packet containing arms and ammunition. These included one AK rifle, a 9 mm pistol along with one magazine and 15 rounds, besides a wooden frame used to support payload in the drone. Significantly,  on Tuesday night, some unidentified persons had hurled a grenade towards Nud Police Post in Samba district. No one was injured as grenade had fallen short of the target on the roadside.
