Action taken against bovine smugglers by Jammu Police.

Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 66 bovine animals from different locations. Based on specific inputs dedicated Police teams had been constituted at various nakas, whereby while checking total 6 different vehicles, viz one Tata mobile bearing Registration No JK02BP 3056 and 5 trucks bearing registration Nos. Jk14B -1793, Jk02AL 8511, JK02W- 1581, JK02AE-4245, JK02AE 3657 respectively have been seized.

In this regard, case FIR No. 204/2021, FIR No. 205/2021, FIR No. 206/2021, FIR No 207/2021 and FIR No 208/2021 got registered at P/S Nagrota and FIR No. 76/2021 at P/S Jhajjar Kotli u/s 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act and accused persons have been arrested. The accused have been identified as:
1)Fareed Ahmed s/o Jamal R/o Anantnag, by P/S Nagrota
2)Abdul Majeed S/o An.Gani R/o Kansi Patta Reasi, by P/S Nagrota
3)Rafaqat Ali S/o Ab.Hamid R/o Narsanger Larnoo Anantnag, by
P/S Nagrota
4)Mohd Yasar S/o Gulzar Ahmed R/o Kachwan Kokernag, by P/S Nagrota
5)Mohd Yousaf S/o Mohd Sulaman R/o Kansi Kassa Reasi, by P/S Nagrota
6) Latif Ahmad S/O Bashir Ahmed R/O Beli Charana , Jammu, by P/S Jhajjar Kotli

It has been done under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Sh. Parupkar Singh. The arrests have been made by SHO P/S Jhajjar Kotli Inspr. Rajesh Khajuria and SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr. Mohd. Showkat. Further investigation of the cases is going on.
