The other two whose services have been dismissed include Mohammad Yousuf Ganaie and Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, both posted as teacher in Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Earlier the Government had dismissed Dr Abdul Bari Naik, Assistant Prof Geography in Government Degree College fir Women at Udhampur and Naib Tehsildar Pulwama, besides a middle school teacher Idrees Jan on similar charges.

Three similarly worded separate termination orders issued by the General Administration Department here said that the Lt Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of these cases and the information available that their services are such as to warrant their dismissal from service.

Pointing out that their dismissal comes with immediate effect, the orders quoting provisions of the Indian Constitution said that Lt Governor is satisfied that in the interest of security of the state it is not expedient to hold enquiry into the matter.

DySP Davinder Singh was arrested by Jammu Kashmir Police early last year when he was ferrying a top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Naveed Babu and another militant Rafi Rather among three in his car from Kashmir to Jammu. Until now he had been under suspension.
