Jammu: Western Army Commander Lieutenant General R P Singhon Saturday visited YOL Cantt where he was updated on operational readiness of the troops.
Lieutenant General PN Ananthanarayanan, General Officer Commanding of the Rising Star Corps, received the Army Commander on his arrival at YOL Cantt and updated the Army Commander about the operational readiness of the Corps.
The Army Commander was also updated on the state of COVID19 infections during CoVID Second Wave in the area and measures taken by the Rising Star Corps to control the spread and limit infections within Military Station. The General officer was also briefed about assistance being provided to Ex-Servicemen and aid to civil administration.
Lieutenant General RP Singh complimented all ranks for their high state of operational preparedness and measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The Army Commander specially appreciated the efforts of Doctors.Military Nursing Services, and Medical, Non-Medical staff for their relentless efforts during this pandemic and felicitated them.
