Jammu: National Students Union of India on Monday asked the Central Government to vaccinate on priority students who have to appear in under graduate, post graduate exams and entrance test to professional course, besides UPSC.

“It is unfair on part of aspirants to suffer consequences of both, irresponsibility of the government and ruthlessness of the pandemic,” said NSUI president Neeraj Kundan in a letter to Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in the PMO.

He also demanded one extra attempt to candidates appearing in UPSC, state PSCs and other professional entrance exams.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court has adjourned to June 3 hearing in a petition seeking cancellation of Class 12 exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The plea filed by Supreme Court advocate Mamta Sharma was that Apex Court shall issue directions to the CBSE and ICSE to declare Class 12 result 2021 on the basis of “objective methodology “ within specific time frame.
