J&K reports lowest 977 Covid positive cases; 16 deaths

Jammu: The Union Territory on Monday reported 977 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) including 288 from Jammu division and 689 from Kashmir division. 

It also had 16 Corona related deaths including seven in Jammu and 9 Kashmir division.

With this, the total death toll in Jammu Kashmir ever since the bevy of the pandemic since last year has risen to 4090.

The UT has a total 301467 Covid positive cases since last year. However, of them, only 23524 are Active Positive as the other 273853 have recovered, according to daily health bulletin issued by the government.”

The Bulletin further said that out of 8887902test results available, 8586435 samples have been tested as negative till7th June, 2021.

Till date 2168272 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 80348 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 23524 in isolation and 146180in home surveillance. Besides, 1914130 persons have completed their surveillance period.
