LG chaired a high-level meeting to review functioning of PWD (R&B). Quantum leap in terms of achievement made by J&K Govt,3167 km of new roads built in 2020-21 as compared to previous 5 years’ average of 1450 km. Set target of blacktopping 8000 km of road length during this year.

4200 km road connecting 191 habitations under PMGSY I & II; 237 languishing projects; 74 Health infrastructure projects to be completed this year.
PWD (R&B) maintaining 41584 kms of road length, 1343 bridges across the UT

Directed officials to reach out to unconnected habitations with road connectivity; strengthen intra UT road network especially in rural, remote areas. Implement Safety Audit report of Bridges in letter & spirit, prioritize work on bridges requiring immediate repair
