HM chief Syed Salahudin’s two sons among 11 J&K govt employees dismissed from service

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Government has sacked its 11 employees including two sons of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahudin for alleged terror links.

This followed recommendations by the designated committee which has been set up in the Union Territory for scrutinizing and the records of government employees with alleged terror links. The recommendations for their dismissal from service were made by the committee under relevant provisions of the Constitution at its second and fourth meeting, sources said.

Sources said that Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf, both sons of the Hizbul Mujahideen chief and most wanted terrorist Syed Salahudin, have been dismissed from service after they were found involved in terror funding by the NIA.

The Centre’s premier agency investigating terror related cases had tracked the terror funding trails of both the brothers and found them involved in raising, receiving, collecting and transferring funds through hawala transactions for terror activities of Hizbul Mujahideen.

The three employees recommended for dismissal by it included an orderly at ITI Kupwara who was state to be an over ground worker of banned Lashkar-e-Toiba terror outfit. He was alleged to be providing information to terrorists about the movement of security forces, besides abetting and harbouring terrorists to carry out terror activities.

The dismissed employees also included two teachers from Anantnag district who was allegedly found participating, supporting and propagating the secessionist ideology of Jamat-e-Islami and Dukhtaran-e-Millat.

Two constables of Jammu and Kashmir Police were among eight employees recommended for dismissal by the committee at its fourth meeting. The dismissed cops had allegedly provided inside information and also the logistic support to terrorists. One of the constable was alleged to have even executed attacks on security forces, sources said.

Another government employee with terror link is Naaz M Allaie, an Orderly of the Health Department.

He is an overground worker of HM and has a history of direct involvement in terrorist activities. Two dreaded terrorists were harboured by him at his residence.

Two employees of the Education Department have been terminated. Jabbar Ahmad Paray and Nisar Ahmad Tantray were actively involved in furthering the secessionist agenda unleashed by the sponsors from Pakistan and are Jamat-e-Islami ideologists.

Shaheen Ahmad Lone, an Inspector of the Power Department, has been found involved in smuggling and transporting arms for Hizbul Mujahideen.

Sources said he was found travelling with two terrorists on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway carrying arms, ammunition and explosives in January last year.

Out of the 11 employees dismissed, four are from Anantnag, three from Budgam, one each from Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara.

Out of these, four were working in the Education Department, two in Jammu Kashmir Police and one each in Agriculture, Skill Development, Power, SKIMS and Health Departments.
