INDIAN ARMY WITH NGO ‘GOONJ’ DISTRIBUTED RATION AND HYGIENE KIT IN SAUJIYAN

Jammu: Indian Army in collaboration with NGO “Goonj” in order to assist the ‘Awaam” in times of distress caused due to COVID Pandemic, distributed ration, hygiene and sanitation kits for the under privileged and BPL families of Saujiyan and adjoining areas in District Poonch.
 
            

Taking forward the initiative of outreach programmes, Indian Army and NGO “Goonj” joined hands to assist the under privileged BPL families including the Gujjars and Bakkarwals in Saujiyan and distributed ration, hygiene and sanitation kits to 480 families. Populace have heartily appreciated the assistance given by the Indian Army and NGO Goonj and conveyed their sincere thanks and gratitude for this noble gesture.

“Indian Army has always taken initiative and has been at the fore front of activities in professional manner and assisted Awaam in distress times of COVID, said Sarpanch of Saujiyan, Mr Bashir. Goonj is a Delhi based various, which undertakes disaster relief, humanitarian aid and community development across India.
