Jammu: The Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations were organised by Rising Star Corps in Dharamshala on Wednesday.
The event started with patriotic songs being played in background when the Victory flame was received by Lt Gen PN Ananthanarayanan, GOC Rising Star Corps and installed in the center of cricket stadium to pay tributes to the sacrifices of our valiant soldiers.
A cultural program was organised on the occasion which comprised of various performances touching the spirit of different states of India.
The NCC cadets also marked their presence by their group song , Bhangra and Nati dance. The cultural program ended with Gatka performance by Indian Army which surely gave goosebumbs to all the audience present at Dharamshala cricket stadium.
Finally, Lt Gen PN Ananthanarayanan, GOC Rising Star Corps felicitated Veterans/Veernaris & interacted with them.
A large number of senior veterans officers, ex servicemen and many civil dignitaries including Forest Youth Services & Sports Minister Rakesh Pathania, DC Kangra Dr Nipun Jindal and SP Kangra Dr Kushal Chand Sharma were also present to grace the occasion, according to a release issued by Defence PRO Lt Colonel Devender Anand.
