GOC TIGER DIVISION FLAGS OFF CYCLING EXPEDITION TO RECONNECT WITH VETERANS AND VEER NARIS IN BORDER VILLAGES

Jammu: The 50th anniversary of India’s glorious victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war is being celebrated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh.

As part of the celebrations, a cycle expedition of Tiger Division will be visiting a number of places along border area in J&K and Himachal to reconnect with the Veterans, Veer Naris and also to motivate youth to join the Armed Forces.

Maj Gen Neeraj Gosain, GOC, Tiger Division flagged off the Cycle expedition from Satwari, Jammu.

The cycle expedition comprising of 12 cyclists from the Garhwal Rifles unit (which took part in Kargil war), will cover a distance of 525 kms in 13 days and culminate at Yol Cantt, Himachal Pradesh.

The cycling expedition aims to visit 100 border villages of J&K and Himachal Pradesh to reconnect with the Veterans, Veer Naris and also to motivate youth to join the Armed Forces.
