7-yr RI to a candidate in Vyapam related case

BHOPAL, NOVEMBER 24: The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Dharmendra Rawat (Candidate) to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs 7000 in Vyapam related case.

The case related to irregularities into the conduct of 2012 test for recruitment of police constables. Dharmendra Rawat was also a candidate, but someone else was alleged to have appeared for him in the test.

The CBI had registered the instant case against Shri Dharmendra Rawat and his father in compliance of orders dated July 9, 2015 of the Supreme Court and taken over the investigation of FIR No.03/2015 earlier registered at Police Station STF, Bhopal (MP). 

After Investigation, CBI filed a charge sheet against the candidate on 23.08.2017. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
