A new beginning against all acts of terrorism: Dilbag Singh

Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh visited Mahore in district Reasi to appreciate the bravery of villagers of Tuksan Dhok. He was accompanied by ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh.

The DGP was received by DIG Udhampur Reasi Range, Mohammad Suleiman Choudhary, SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta, CO 58 RR Mahore Y R Siddhi and jurisdictional officers of Mahore.

During his visit the DGP met some villagers of Tuksan area and appreciated their courage in apprehending 02 terrorists of LeT as a result of continuous pressure and tracking their movement by police, army and para military forces.

Speaking to the media the DGP appreciated the bravery of villagers and said that the act of villagers will send a strong message to the terror handlers across the border, anti social elements and the terrorist sympathizers.

The DGP said that despite these terrorists were heavily armed the young & energetic youth of the village displayed their exemplary courage in apprehending these terrorists.

He said that it has been a trend of the terrorists to use and threaten the gullible villagers and exploit their innocence, but these brave youth of the village have shown the way to all those.

He said that it is new beginning against all acts of terrorism. He hoped that such actions would be followed carried to uproot the terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.

Informing about the recovery of arms and ammunition made from arrested terrorists the DGP appreciated the timely action by police thus averting any future tragedy.

As reported earlier Reasi Police on the disclosure of arrested terrorist Talib Hussain smashed a hide out at Draj, Rajouri where from 06 Sticky Bombs, one Pistol, 03 Pistol Magazine, 02 Glock Pistol & one 30 bore Pistol, one UBGL launcher ,03 UBGL Grenades , 75 AK Rounds , 15 Rounds Glock Pistol , 04 Rounds Pistol 30 Bore & one IED remote with Antenna was recovered.

During the interaction with the locals the DGP lauded and encouraged the locals for their bravery. He appealed to the people of UT to thwart any attempt by anti national elements who are attempting to revive the militancy in Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley and other areas of Jammu.

Pertinent to mention that the villagers of Tukson Dhok showed extreme courage in apprehending two most wanted terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba who had reached that area to take shelter after continuous pressure from Police and security forces.

They were identified as Talib Hussain of Rajouri and Faisal Ahmed Dar of Pulwama. 2AK rifles, 7 Grenades, a Pistol and a huge quantity of ammunition was recovered from their possession.

It is to mention here that Rajouri police has recovered a large number of IEDs and had busted a module of LeT recently in which two terrorists of LeT were arrested and Talib Hussain was declared as an absconder and a reward was announced on him.

Talib Hussain was in constant touch with LeT terrorist Qasim based in Pakistan and was involved in at least 3 cases of IED blasts in Rajouri district besides civilian killings and grenade blasts.

During preliminary questioning it was revealed that both the terrorists were also in touch with a Pakistani LeT handler Salman.
