Jammu, July 29: -Addl. Director General of Police Jammu, Mukesh Singh-IPS and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, IAS flagged off the first batch of the historic Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra from Jammu Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar towards Poonch early this morning.
A large number of representatives from religious and social organisations were also present.
On the occasion ADGP Jammu said that tight security arrangements and proper amenities have been put in place all along the route for smooth conduct of yatra which will culminate on Shravan Purnima after the last batch of pilgrims perform darshan at holy temple located in tehsil Mandi of district Poonch.
