JAMMU, MARCH 18: A Jammu and Kashmir Police head constable died in custody a few hours after he was arrested by CBI on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.

Identified as Head Constable Mushtaq Ahmed, working as Munshi at Women Police Station at Kathua, the CBI had earlier during the day claimed to have caught him red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from an accused booked in a case.

Sources said that he suffered heart attack while in custody and was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. Senior police officers rushed to the hospital after hearing about the death of head constable.
