Jammu: Hotel K C Residency proudly announces the launch of Maritozzo a twelve day The Italian Lebnan food festival starting from 19th July to 30th July 2023. The festival will feature mélange of Italian and Labanese cuisines with culinary delicacies prepared and presented by Chef Kaushal Sharma and his expert team ready to deliver a menu mix with modern bites from across the roman era.

Lebanese and Italian cultures share a strong emphasis on family and community, as well as a deep appreciation for food and cuisine. Both cultures also have a rich history and a strong sense of national identity. Additionally, both countries have a Mediterranean coastline, which has likely influenced many aspects of their culture and lifestyle.

Lebanese food is one of the highest-rated cuisines in the world. Traditional Lebanese dishes have influenced world cuisine for centuries. Likewise the Italians had initially absorbed ancient Greek cookery into their culture. With Roman ships bringing back wheat, wine, fine spices and other exotic ingredients, the Italians added new imports to their kitchens.

Famous Lebanese dishes include hummus, tabbouleh, kibbe, shawarma, falafel and many more and Lebanese dishes include Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Napoletana Pizza, Risotto, Fiorentina Steak, Polenta, Truffles, Lasagne

During this twelve day long feast, a wide variety of dishes inspired by a combination of these two cuisines with new ideas will be featured. The center of attraction will be Lebanese Mezze Platter. To name a few luscious appetizers like Kibbeh, Fatayers, Shawarmas, Falafel, Crostinis, Salmon tartar with beetroot and avocado, Pesto Garlic Buttered Prawns, Chicken Piccata, Stuffed Jalapeno Rolls,Stuffed mushrooms Nuggets, main dishes like River Sole Steaks, Grilled fishes with Sicilian vegetable Caponata, Grilled Lamb chops in Barbecue Sauce, Grilled Chicken Margarita, Honey Roast Chicken, Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Chicken Spinach and Cheese Ravioli, Rustic thin crust pizzas and for the sweet tooth confections like Crème Caramel, Sneaky Toffee Pudding, Tiramisu will be on the board.
