Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday announced grant of DA to its employees and pensioners at the revised rate of 28 per cent of basic pay/pension from July 1 last.
Pointing out that it is payment to employees working in regular pay levels under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, the UT’s Finance Department in a statement here said that it was earlier payable to them at 17 per cent of the basic pay/pension.
Pointing out that the term “Basic Pay’’ in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn in the prescribed Level in the Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations, but does not include any other type of pay like special pay etc., it said that the increase subsumes the additional installments arising on January 1 and July 1, 2020, besides January 1, 2021. The rate of Dearness Allowance for the period January 1, 2020 to July 30, 2021 shall remain at 17 per cent, it added.
