Vice Chancellor Jammu University inaugurated 2nd phase of Special Vaccination drive for employees

JAMMU: Moving ahead in its ongoing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, the University of Jammu organised the second phase of vaccination drive for employees and their dependents aged between 18-44 years.   More than 900 persons participated in the said drive after following the proper Covid-19 protocol.
It is pertinent to mention here that the first phase of the vaccination drive for employees and their dependent above the age of 45 years was organised on 15th  May 2021 in which more than 100 persons were vaccinated.
Second phase of two-day vaccination drive for was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Manoj Dhar in presence of Registrar, Prof Arvind Jasrotia.  The University of Jammu in its endeavour to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection vaccinated all the employees of the University of Jammu and their dependents for the safety and security of all its stakeholders.
Reinforcing the need for ensuring the safety of every human life, Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, has taken a lead and made consistent efforts during the  last several months in organizing Covid testing camps in the campus and also advising the stakeholders to take all precautions and strictly observe Covid appropriate behaviour. Vice-Chancellor observed that in view of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, it is absolutely necessary for everyone to get vaccinated. Prof. Dhar conveyed thanks to the UT Administration particularly, Sh. Raghav Langer, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Sh. Anshul Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, for their help in organizing the camps in the University. He lauded the efforts of  Registrar, Dean Students Welfare, Chief Security Officer and other officials of the University. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. J. P Singh, and his other team members for the successful conduct of the vaccination drive in the University of Jammu. He also complimented Dr. Bharat Bhushan, In-Charge University Health Centre and his team for providing active support to all the stakeholders of the University of Jammu in facing the COVID Pandemic challenges.
Sh. Rakesh Chib, President, Non-teaching employees Union and office bearers have thanked the Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the employees, for the positive steps taken by the Vice-Chancellor in these unprecedented times.
