Jammu, November 2: Activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday holding demonstration outside the residence of National Conference president and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah at Bhatindi here.
Sources said that a group of ABVP activists holding tri colour moved to the main entrance of Farooq’s high security residence. Agitating against recent statements by members of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration over recent land laws notified by the Centre, the protestors were pushed back by the police as they tried to come closer to the entrance. Later, they burnt the effigy of Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti before dispersing from the spot.
