Pak shelling in Poonch

Jammu, November 10: Pakistani troops on Tuesday morning resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and small arms fire at forward Indian positions along the Line of Control at some places in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Identifying the affected areas as Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors, an Army spokesperson Lt Colonel Devender Anand said that Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

Ever since the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State into two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, there has been spurt in incidents of mortar shelling and small arms fire by Pakistan along the LoC.
