Pak shelling in Poonch

Jammu, November 11: Pakistani troops continued with mortar shelling and small arms fire at forward Indian positions and civilian areas along the Line of Control in border Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to an Army spokesperson Lt Colonel Devender Anand, the unprovoked ceasefire violation was initiated by Pakistani troops around 9.15 am in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors. The Indian army retaliated befittingly.

Meanwhile, sources said that the was no casualty or loss to property on the Indian side. For the past nearly an year, there has been spurt in incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan and infiltration attempts by militants from across the border.

However, alert Indian troops are giving a befitting reply to Pakistan and foiling the infiltration attempts as well.
