Srinagar Records Season’s Coldest Night of the season so far

Srinagar, November 22: The Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital city of Srinagar had the coldest night of this season as the mercury plummeted to minus 3.7 degree Celsius, officials said on Sunday.

According to meteorological department officials today’s minimum temperature was three degrees below the normal for this time of the year.  

The world famous skiing resort, Gulmarg remained the coldest place in Kashmir Valley as mercury tumbled to minus 7. 4 degree Celsius.

Another famous tourist destination, Pahalgam recorded minus 5.6 degree Celsius, followed by Shopian (minus 5.4 degree C), Konibal (minus 5 degree C), Awantipora (minus 4.4.degree C), Kupwara (minus 3.4 degree C), Pulwama (minus 3.1 degree C), Anantnag (minus 3.0 degree C), Qazigund and Budgam (minus 2.6 degree C), Srinagar airport (minus 2.5 degree C), Kulgam (minus 2.1 degree C), Kokernag (minus 1.9 degree C) and Bandipora (0.0 degree C).
