Swift action by army saves seven lives on Mughal road

Jammu, November 22: Swift rescue operation by Army troops saved seven people including three ladies on Mughal Road which connects Poonch district in Jammu division with Kashmir Valley’s Shopian.

On Saturday evening, a TATA Mobile slipped and toppled near 24 km due to sleet on road, an army spokesperson Lt Colonel Devender Anand said, adding that all its passengers were trapped inside the ill-fated vehicle.

Hearing about the accident, jawans from Poshana army post in Rajouri district acted swiftly and rushed to the spot, saving all the passengers. Later, they also recovered the vehicle and also provided necessary first aid and refreshments to the passengers on the spot.

The passengers thanked the men in uniform and locals who responded in no time to provide the necessary help.
