Qazigund: Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday arrested four people at Nippora Crossing here and claimed to have seized from them 40 kgs poppy straw.

Pointing out that a police party led by Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad from Mir Bazar Police Post and CRPF personnel from 46 Bn had laid a naka at Nippora Crossing under the supervision of HSO Qazigund, Inspector Irshad Reshi and SDPO Mohammad Shafiq. The naka party stopped a vehicle No. HR-60P-6076 and seized the contraband during its checking.
All the four persons travelling in it were arrested. They include Ravi Pal, Gurvinder Singh and Sukhwinder Kumar, all Jalandhar, besides Reshpal of Kud (Patnitop) in Jammu division.
