Jammu: UT’s Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday advised the Jammu Kashmir Police personnel to be future-ready as apart from conventional warfare, they have to tackle new challenges that can only be overcome by strengthening institutions and public relations, spreading awareness among the people about disinformation in the digital world, working on technological convergence and facing hybrid war-fare.
Speaking on the future challenges, he said it is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the police force ‘SMART’, which is Strict and Sensitive, Modern and Mobile, Alert and Accountable, Reliable and Responsive; Techno-savvy and Trained.
