Two more held in connection with LeT plan to carry out blast at a religious place in Jammu

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested two associates of the Lashkar-e-Toiba operative Nadeem ul Haq who was already arrested along with a 5 kg IED from near a shopping Mall on the outskirts of Jammu city.

They have been identified as Nadeem Ayoub Rather S/o Ayoob Rather R/o Chak Cholend Herman Shopian and Talib ur Rehman S/o Abdul Rehman R/o Kaskoot Banihal Ramban.

During sustained questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and disclosed that they were planning criminal conspiracy at Banihal on the directions of their handlers, to carryout IED blast at major religious place of Jammu. 

It was for the same reason that earlier arrested accused namely Nadeem ul haq came from Banihal to Jammu to carryout the IED attack to spread terror and destabilise peaceful atmosphere of the city. 

Also, during preliminary investigation it was transpired that IED seems to be dropped by drone. Further investigation of the case is going on.

A case under sections  121,122 IPC, 13,18,23,38,39 UAPA, 4/5 ESA has already been registered at Bahu Fort police station.
