Police Recover Skin of wild Animals in Anantnag; 1 held

Srinagar: UT Police along with officials of the Wildlife Department officials in South Kashmir’s Anantnag town on Saturday took into custody a person and seized skins of various wild animals.

This followed raid on a house in Sherpora locality during wee hours, sources said, adding that the seized skins were of Lion, Leopard and Bear. The sale of skins of these wild animals is banned in the UT.

Police have registered a case, sources said, adding investigations are in progress.
